20160412 Coach Hawkins passes away, age 95
Memorial service is at Hartsell Funeral Home, Thursday, April 14,2016 1:00 pm.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle on Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jim Yow.
Most of you may know, but Coach Hawkins has been a member of Central UMC for all the years he has been in Albemarle. Not sure when he came here to be Principal of Albemarle High School but not too many years after we graduated, I believe.
He
passed away yesterday, age 95, and had enjoyed a long life. His wife
died a few years ago, he lived at home until a year or so ago when his
sons moved him to live with them. They have been great to care for their Dad.
The memorial service is at Hartsell Funeral Home, Thursday 1:00 and I have been asked to play for the service. I am delighted to do so.

Just sharing with you all and you can share as you choose. I am off to Scotland on Monday for a 10 day trip. Plan to attend luncheon on 28th, returning on 27th.
