Mrs. Hall was a native of Stokes County and a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Balfour Friendly Club, Extension Community Association and McDonalds Bingo Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Hall, daughter, Mary Louise (Patsy) Chafin, parents, Thomas Jefferson and Lonie Emma Rierson, sister, Evelyn Rierson Hinshaw and brothers, Clifton and T. J. Rierson. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hall York and her husband Guy of Asheboro; sons, David Lee Hall and his wife Deanna of Asheboro, Dale P. Hall of Asheboro; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Rebecca Rierson McCorkle of Clearwater, FL. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00-4:00pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at her daughter's home at 2108 Lamar Dr., Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 4994, Asheboro, NC 27204 or Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.

Class Notes. Eddie introduced a friend and visitor, Norman Squency Nance, and someone we consider a member of our group, David Graves; asked we check and edit a list of deceased members; commented on Jim King (broke arm recently), Peggy Beeker (beginning Chemo treatment), Alex  Coffin (surgery), and Edwina . Don told a story about Allen Holt and Squency Nance kidnapping him after football practice in about 1953. Lot of other conversation I missed. Please let me know corrections to our Class Notes.

Dear Family and Friends,

We hope that you all are enjoying your summer!  Some of you may have talked with Mom or Dad in the last several weeks, but if not, just a quick update…on July 1, my dad had surgery to remove a large abscess (as well as half of his liver) probably caused by his diverticulitis.  Although the surgery went remarkably well, Dad’s recovery has been difficult thus far . . . Thankfully, surgeons are happy with his recovery so far . .

Mom and Dad are incredibly grateful for your caring, well-wishes, and thoughtfulness. Mom specifically asks your forgiveness for not replying promptly to messages.  I will be sending updates occasionally to help Mom, and please feel free to contact me at any time with questions/thoughts, and I’ll be happy to share with Mom and Dad.  Thank you so much for your kindness to them!

 . . . . thank you so, so much for caring for our family!

Some of you may be too young to remember...  but I think you will enjoy it too...



If you were alive in 1957, and old enough to enjoy Rock and Roll, you will probably remember the group, "The Diamonds" who had just launched their super hit "Little Darlin' ".  This should bring back a few memories.   Ahhh yes, the good old days.  I remember it well.  Nice to see some things get
ting better with age!

In 1957, The Diamonds had a hit with "Little Darlin".  47 and 50 years later, they were requested to perform at Atlantic City ..  This link leads to both performances.
